The Kent City area of Society of History and Genealogy was formed in 1985 by a group of individuals who wanted to preserve the history of the local area.

The society publishes a newsletter that is published quarterly.

Dues are Ten dollars a year, payable at the beginning of the year each year after you join.

Any society member that wants to attend a business meeting may do so. Meetings are April through October the second Thursday of each month. We meet at the museum which is at 43 S. Main Street. We are next to the library. We are in the Old Town Hall building.

The museum has a large photo collection and local artifacts that are displayed.

This view is of the Kent City High School which burned in December 18, 1954 fire. This building sat where the upper elementary building currently is.
