Jim graduated from 8th grade in 1931 from Clark School.
Jim has always heard about the 1915 Tornado. It pulled the feathers from the chickens and blew the feathers right into wood.
Jim’s aunt was Blanche Buzzard. She was engaged to Alton Trum when she was killed.
Al Buzzard sold the Buzzard farm to Frank and Mariel Hawley February 1, 1958.
Ruth Bjork married Walt Dahl. She was a Sommel. (If Jim remembers correctly).
Blanche was found down by the barn gate. Her arms and legs were off. She had gone upstairs to shut a window..
Al Buzzard and Grandma hung onto the kitchen range. Blanch, Al and Grandma had been together. Balance went to close the window.
Velma’s maiden name was Newland. Velma remembers the 1915 Tornado. She was three years old. The barn roof across the road blew off and spun round and round. The next day us kids went in the barn and saw open sky. We thought that was a big deal.
Mrs. Sommell was killed. Jim remembers she was scalped, and her scalp was sewn bak on.
Irving Utley is a brother to Jim.
Roy Buzzard was born May 21, 1888 and died March 19, 1954.
Al Buzzard was born October 17, 1896.
Fern Price was a Brugel. Brugel’s used to be the Hoyt’s farm.

Bertha Buzzard married Utley, then Baker and they lived where Jim and Velma do currently.
Louisa Buzzard and Matilda Shimmel were sisters. (Mrs. Alfred Shimmel).
Mr. Sommell was thrown from his home and found unconscious in this orchard.
Blanche Buzzard graduated in 1911. She had taught school at Gougeberg School, 2 years and at
Ballard School 1 year.
